Frank Lampard calls it an end to the 12 year long association with the
London club. He said that the club has not approached him for a new contract as
he is into his last six months of the current contract.
At a press conference he said,
"I'm a Chelsea player but at the minute nothing else has been said, talks
about a one-year or two-year extension don't exist because nothing has been
said and nothing is planned, as far as I know. There have been no talks about
anything or about an extension."
Lampard joined Chelsea in 2001 for £11m from West Ham United and is the
third best all time goal scorer for Chelsea. He scored 189 goals from 611
appearances.
